WIWW 6
It’s wednesday once again, and time for Lindsey’s What I’m Wearing Wednesday (check thepleatedpoppy.com for more Fashionistas out there:-)

Our 4th of July!
We had fun celebrating the 4th with my husbands family! We grilled some burgers, hung out, then watched the fireworks show on TV. We saw the fireworks 3 years ago in Seattle (lake union) and that was enough for me to experience what it’s like. The crowd and the traffic wasn’t worth it at the end! We are also celebrating Riley’s 1st birthday and it’s such a joy to see him spoiled by my In laws. He loves all of the gifts and the attention he gets (as always). We had burgers, hotdogs, salads, and chocolate cake! I hope that you guys had a fun and safe weekend.

Flat Iron Grill Take 2:)
We had dinner again at another local resto here in Issaquah, Flat Iron Grill! It was so nice yesterday that we wanted to enjoy dinner outside, al fresco style! I ordered the same steak last time we we’re here but the experience wasn’t the same, it was still a nice time with my husband:) Have a fun and safe 4th of July weekend everyone:)

Food Trips
I’m “organizing” my computer and editing some pics tonight, I’ve realized that I have lots of food pics that I still have to post but they’re just random foodie pics so I’ll just combine them all here.

Panera Bread Lunch
To celebrate our Riley’s 1st birthday, we had lunch at Panera Bread and just enjoyed the sunny weather! Hubby was working at home but quite busy, so we wanted a quick lunch! We love Panera’s mac n’ cheese and their sandwiches:)

Happy Birthday Riley!
Our Schnauzer, Riley, turns 1 today! He was only 10 weeks old when we got him in a pet store last year! He’s such a joy for us and life is so much fun with him:) Although there are times when it can be stressful and expensive too, like the time he ate my scrunchy and we had to go to the ER in the animal hospital, and just last week we have to bring him again because he’s been acting strange like swallowing something but there’s nothing to swallow. Everything is cleared from the vet, they checked his labs and he’s back to his old bouncy playful self again! We plan to have a little celebration when my In-laws are back from their vacation next week! Here are some of the pictures of our Riley!

WIWW 5!
It’s wednesday again, and I’m linking up with Lindsey at The PleatedPoppy for WIWW:-)

Savings!!

For my Fred Meyer Trip this week, with sales and coupons I paid $12 for all of these but I got $6 worth of catalinas (cash rewards I can use for future shopping). So basically I only paid $6. The Pantene shampoos were like .33 cents each (after I used coupons).

I paid $22 for my Target trip yesterday. If I was only paying attention to the cashier I would have only paid $19 for all of these because the Method all purpose spray was Buy 3, get 1 free hand soap but she still charged me for it (when it should be free). I only noticed when we are out already and wasn’t up for going back to the cashier for the $3 hand soap ( I guess I’m not that much of an extreme couponer yet!). I didn’t have coupons for the ice cream and bread with me too (I had them at home and wasn’t planning to buy them) but hubby wants them, so anything for my hard working hubby!LOL…

Pick Another Checkout Lane, honey!(save BIG money and make the grocery aisle your catwalk) from the Krazycouponlady!
Pulled Pork Sandwich
This is a very simple recipe for a pulled pork sandwich that I got from my Dad in law! I just added the blue cheese for a little flavor, it was a nice addition and even Zach agreed that the cheese gave it a little twist ( in a good way!).
Ingredients:
1 pork butt or shoulder
Dry Rub:
1t cumin
1t garlic powder
1t onion powder
1t chili powder
1t salt
1t pepper
1t paprika
1/2 c brown sugar
Procedure:
Give the pork a good rub
Put it in the pot with beef broth or apple juice or water
Bake at 325 for 4 to 5 hours till it’s fall apart goodness
Shred and add lots of your fav bbq sauce
