Hello November! I can’t believe the Holiday season is here. I’ve been to the mall these last couple of days and it’s starting to look so festive with decorations all over the place. Halloween was just last Friday and although we personally didn’t do any partying or dressing up I always have Riley (our dog) wear a costume. This year he was a Cow. I got the costume at Walmart because it’s cheap and it’s not worth the money after he’ll have it for 2 minutes (then he’ll destroy the whole thing).
so cuteloveHalloween candies
Saturday night we had Sushi at our favorite local restaurant, Aji Sushi. We love it because the sushi selection is decent and it’s like 4 minutes drive from our house.
YUM
someone enjoyed his dinner!
We also went to Hobby Lobby , Walmart, Bath and Body works, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Church this weekend. Our Sunday afternoon was spent napping and cuddling with our fatty Riley! He is loving our fireplace so much. I have to turn it on in the morning and late evenings. He is so spoiled! We also finished a TV series on netflix called “The 100”. We are thinking of watching Gotham next.
This pic makes me laugh!Riley is such a cuddle puss this week!my new obsession lately! Walmart has a decent candle collection. This one smells so good.
Our weekend was wet and quiet! Fall is here and it’s been a rainy weekend here in the PNW! We didn’t do a lot because Riley is still healing from his surgery so we didn’t want to leave him alone for a long time so we mostly stayed here at home. We did watch the movie “The Maze Runner” because Hubs read the book series so he wanted to see if they did them justice. He said the movie wasn’t so bad compared to the book! I enjoyed it too despite me not reading the books. After the movie, we ate at the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant because it was close to the theater and we’ve been wanting to try it. The place is like a sports bar, lots of big TVs all over the place and college football playing everywhere while we dined. The wings were good too, meaty and flavorful. I really liked my order. I had the chicken wings with parmesan garlic sauce. The Hubs had the traditional chicken wings (buffalo hot sauce) and he said it was just OK. We also shared their fried cheese curds (my first time to have it) and it was the BOMB! I will probably go back just for that alone!
This is Zach’s drink (twisted margarita)!
yummy fried cheese curds
After church this morning, we had lunch at Genki Sushi at Factoria Mall because the weather is cold and wet and I “needed” some Ramen in my system!
comfort food!some sushi for the Hubs!
I got a free candle coupon from Bath and Body works and I picked this one! Smells delicious! The hubs doesn’t care for it though.I baked pineapple cake this evening! Don’t be too impressed this is just from a cake mix!YAY for boots season! I got this from amazon and it’s so comfy! Original price: $100, I got it on sale for $20! So comfy yet cheap! My kind of deal:)
Hope you had a great weekend family and friends! I’m off to spend some time with my Hubs and my lovey Riley!
Hubs and I had dinner at Outback tonight. We had a gift card to use and it’s been years since we dined there. Zach availed their unlimited shrimp special. We had a lot of shrimps tonight…I think we are shrimped out for the next couple of months! I had the chicken with mushrooms and cheese, I enjoyed it and Riley enjoyed the left overs! We are just watching the tv series “The Bridge” and drinking our pumpkin spice latte! Happy friday night friends!
so sinful but so good!good thing we have this like once a year…we like outback’s margarita!blue cheese wedge saladZach’s order, he had the tenderloin with unlimited shrimp!I had chicken with mushroom and melted cheese!BOOM PANES!heheZachs “shrimp overload “face!
We had a weekend trip to Oregon when my sister was here couple of weeks ago, we visited Portland and Cannon Beach, and the Seaside Area. It was more of a food trip because we just stuffed our faces with all of the yummy food that Oregon has to offer. Based on my research a must stop is the famous Voodoo doughnuts (I was totally disappointed) and find nothing special about the place. The doughnuts are fun to look at (reminded me of Gordughs doughnuts from Austin Texas) but Gordughs is so much better, moist and (IMO) worth the sugar coma you’ll get. Another place we visited was the Thai restaurant POKPOK! I had read good reviews and even Giada De Laurentiis recommend the place for good authentic thai food. I totally loved their fish sauce chicken wings, it was just the right amount of fish sauce flavor! Not overpowering at all. I think I will go back to Portland just for their wings! I think my hubs and sis find it “OKAY”,I disagree with them!
Cannon Beach was fun but the water was too cold for me. We checked out the famous Haystack Rock and it was gorgeous as I expected. We had fun strolling in the fine sandy beach, enjoyed our left over Voodoo donuts, iced coffee and just people watching.
Last place to check out was Seaside. It was super crowded though because they had a volleyball tournament when we visited. We only stayed for a couple hours, it was just too loud, crowded, and hot for me. I was really ready to go home and see my Riley Puss after not seeing him for 2 days! It was a fun weekend with my sis and Hubs.

The place was also visited by Guy Fieri of Food Networkwaiting time 10 minutes because we got here early;the other times we checked it was 2 hours..it’s that crazy!excited to try PokPok’s famous wingsour yummy drinks (thai iced tea, tamarind whiskey sour for hubs)foodies!Pok Pok’s famous chicken wingsfood trip with sisteret!another order please!because their ice cream was so good, we stopped again before going to Cannon Beachlots of yummy flavors to choose fromsalted caramel and the pear blue cheese (it was the bomb!)
I’ve hiked Rattlesnake ledge with my Hubs before and as much as I loved the view I didn’t really plan to do it again, but my sister, Christine, really wanted to hike Rattlesnake when she was here so I did it again for her sake! It’s a 4 mile hike(total), but the uphill part is what i hate the most. I don’t mind going down, that’s the easy part! We got hungry after the hike so we decided to have dinner at our local burger and root beer place. Great place for burgers and milkshakes! My sister was shocked with the American servings, so huge compared to New Zealand where she has been living for the last 6 or 7 years! It was such a a great summer day.
Let the hiking begin!pretty view🙂sisterwe love this viewgood job sis!dinner timeI had to have my fave drink that time because it was National Root Beer day!even the drinks are massive!fave local resto! Triple XXX
Hello everyone! It was my sister in law Julia’s birthday last week, and yesterday (Sunday) we had a late birthday dinner with the rest of the family. We ate at this Italian restaurant called Gianfranco Ristorante Italiano. Although it’s a small resto (kinda cramped), the ambiance was nice and most importantly the food was great! It’s one of the best italian restaurants we’ve been to in a long time. The portions were HUGE too! I had Braised short ribs and I had the left overs for dinner tonight and I still didn’t finish the leftovers! Anyways, the Hubs and I will be coming back again soon to this lovely italian place! After dinner we went back to my In law’s to have ice cream and just hangout celebrating Julia’s birthday! Happy Birthday Julia, we love you:)

We had dinner at Morton’s Steakhouse in Seattle earlier and it was YUM! We’ve been to this steakhouse before so Hubs and I knew what to expect already. It’s a basement type restaurant and it’s pretty cozy (i like the ambiance of the place).I think this steakhouse has been here in Seattle for the last 20+ years and you can tell that by looking at the wall frames around the resto, it’s kinda cool to see the “opening day of Seatac airport” in one of the pictures I noticed in the place. Anyways, the food was great! Hubs really liked the Filet mignon Oscar style he ordered. I normally order the filet when we’re in a steakhouse but I wanted to have something different tonight. I checked their menu online yesterday (I was that excited!) and found out they have braised short ribs, so I knew what I would be getting. Let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint! My goodness the ribs were super flavorful and melt in your mouth tender! I will go back to this place for the short ribs alone. We also had seared tuna and lobster bisque (we will not order this again, it was kinda bland) for appetizers and mac and cheese to share (we didn’t finish all the food though…always good for leftovers). Hubby liked his drink but it was way overpriced (i think). It was an expensive dinner but we really had a good experience and will most likely go back in the coming months.

We decided to walk around Seattle after dinner, because we need it! We were so full and it was a nice summer evening and we wanted to use our new camera that we got this week. It’s a Nikon D3300 and so far we are loving our new gadget. Hubs is still teaching me the basic things about DSLR cameras. My iPad is acting up so the new cam is really handy right now.
Hello there new gadget!Pike placeSummertime!long line at SB and hubs is not very happy about it!His and hers coffee:)my fave subject!lolmeeeeeeelots of one way streets in seattleon our way home,we saw the super moon tonight. And this is my attempt to capture it but I failed big time! (inside the car + flash = bad pics) lol
My sister joined the Seattle Rock n Roll last weekend (she’s from New York). Two of her friends joined her because they’ve never been to Seattle. It was so much fun doing the touristy things with them and spending time with family and friends. We miss them already ,but hopefully we’ll see them again later this year!

Last Monday was my Hubs birthday, and we already celebrated in advance with his family (Sunday night and cooked Paella.) I had an extra voucher for melting pot that I wanted to use before it expired, so we decided to use it for my Hubs actual birthday. We ordered the spinach artichoke cheese fondue and it is my favorite so far. We’ve been to Melting Pot a lot of times and this is our first time to order the spinach cheese fondue, it didn’t disappoint. Sorry for the dark pictures as we are still using the iPad for pictures and the restaurant was kinda dark. Happy Birthday week my Love!
Birthday Hubs!
what i wore:Kohls Top, cashmere scarf:gift from my MIL (nordstrom), target leggings and boots
Monday night we had dinner at the Melting Pot! We’ve been here before and I really like it. Nothing amazing about the food but it was decent. I really like the relaxed ambiance and experience of dipping yummy food into a boiling pot of oil! The cheese fondue was OK, we had the swiss cheese fondue. I can honestly say that my husband’s fondue last Christmas was so much better than what we had last Monday. Our server was friendly and always checking on us to see if we needed anything (not in an annoying way) so that was nice:)
