Today June 30 is Rileys 5th birthday! We didn’t have any get together with my hubs family(we always do something) because it’s in the middle of the week. We got some donuts to celebrate the bday boy (we only gave him a tiny piece) and walked him this evening and had yogurt to end the day:) Happy Birthday Riley, you bring so much laughter to us!

Father’s Day 2015!
Hello Everyone! Hope you had a good Fathers day weekend. Ours was great! We had some nice, sunny weather in the Pacific North West. Saturday, Hubs and I, with our travel buddy Riley, went to the Tolt River (Carnation,WA) and spent Saturday afternoon there. The river water was pretty clear and low and they have an area were public fishing was opened and several people just did that.

Sunday, Father’s Day, we had hamburgers to celebrate my Father In law. We ate on our patio and enjoyed the nice Sunday evening. My Dad is not with us anymore so Father’s day is kinda sad for me but I hope you guys had a great time with your Dads and celebrate them while they are still here! Have a great rest of your day, I’m off to garden right now:)

Vegas!
The Hubs and I just got back from Vegas 2 days ago to attend a family friends wedding. The Bride is my sister Cynthia’s SIL and they are like extended family to us. My other sister Rosell also attended so it was like a mini reunion for me and my sisters. It was such a fun wedding and so happy that Zach and I got to see Trisha and Shane (Bride and Groom) on their special day. Aside from the wedding, I’m glad we got to spend some time with my sisters doing “Vegas” thing like watching a show, having a nice dinner at Giada, and enjoying the pool at Caesars palace ( we stayed at the Hard Rock hotel too), buffet dinner at Bacchanal and Wicked spoon and experienced the HighRoller at the LINQ.
We are back at home now and I’m just resting because since we got home, I’m having a nasty cold and I’ve been pretty miserable since. The Hubs is taking care of me and Riley. I hope you’re all having a good weekend!

Congratulations to Trisha and Shane! You two are such a fun couple and we wish you a lifetime of Love and Happiness!
Wedding Guests!
This weekend, the Hubs and I (together with my In laws) attended a family friend’s wedding and it was such a nice event. It’s one of the best weddings we’ve attended in a long time. The Ceremony was beautiful, the place was cozy, and the food was delicious! The Bride is a childhood friend of Zach’s and both their parents knew each other for a long time. Congratulations to Dan and Noelle! The Best is yet to come…

Happy Easter!
Today we are celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ! One of the most important events in the Christian world. I’m just so grateful for what Jesus did on the Cross, the unconditional love He gave to all of us. The perfect, sinless Son of God suffered and died for all of us, despite our unworthiness. Thank You Jesus for what you’ve done for our sake.

Aside from Easter Sunday celebration, we are also celebrating our 7th wedding Anniversary! We are thankful to God for blessing our marriage for the last 7 years. We cannot wait to see what is in store for us in the coming years! The Best is yet to come:) We took a couple of pictures before going to church this morning. We had brunch after with my In laws in one of the restaurants here in Issaquah. The Hubs and I plan to have a little getaway somewhere to celebrate and we are so excited! I hope you had a great Easter weekend all:)

Valentines weekend!
Hope you had a great weekend friends. It was Valentines weekend and we celebrated it with my In laws. I personally don’t make a big deal out of this “holiday” because I try every day to celebrate my loved ones and friends in the best way I know how, no need to have a certain date for that. Although my Hubs and I had doughnuts and coffee, spent time watching “Elementary” before having dinner with my In Laws at Maggiano’s (Bellevue). We had a lovely time enjoying Italian food and desserts. The restaurant was packed and they ran out of their “braised short ribs” that I originally wanted to have 🙁 It was all good, I end up ordering their sirloin steak (decent but nothing out of the ordinary). Everybody enjoyed their dishes and all agreed that their meatballs were out of this world (especially the DILaw).

Our Maggiano’s dinner! We used my Sis In laws phone so the pictures are not the best quality (the restaurant was kinda dark too).

Happy New Year!
Hello 2015! Bye 2014! We had a quiet and simple NYE celebration because Zach is under the weather and still recovering. My poor Hubs rarely gets sick but when he does, he’s like bed ridden the whole time. We are hopeful that 2015 will be a healthy year for all of us. I went to the grocery store on the morning of NYE and wanted to check out some steaks (something nice to have for our NYE dinner for two) but quickly changed my mind because my Hubs is always in charge making steaks and he doesn’t have the energy for that. I ended up getting Cornish Game hens and found a simple recipe online. I will post it later this week, it’s from allrecipes.com. My DIL was kind enough to stop by during the day and bought us goodies (Ribs and cupcakes). He is that kind of person, despite his busy schedule he called us and wanted to get us something (maybe to cheer his miserable son?). He’s the best! We are looking forward to 2015. 2014 was great and we are thankful to God for all the many blessings He gave us and we cannot wait for what’s in store this coming year!

Christmas 2014!
Hello Family and friends! I hope you all had a great Christmas with your loved ones. Ours was pretty relaxed with lots of family time! This is my favorite time of the year because as a believer, this is the birthday of our Savior Jesus Christ (we know it’s not the exact date) but its more the celebration of His birth. He came to die for us all. He is the reason for the season. Aside from celebrating Jesus birth, we also spent time with family, eating yummy food, and exchanging gifts with family. My family, especially my Hubs, was so generous to give me wonderful things that I’m looking forward to using. It would have been the best if we also had my side of the family, but it is what it is. Hopefully next year we can be all together. I apologize in advance because this will be a picture overload post!

Christmas Eve we went to my Husband’s grandma’s place for dinner and exchanged gifts.

Christmas day, we had brunch at home, opened gifts, watched movies, relaxed and then ate some snacks! It was a fun and relaxed Christmas.

Thanksgiving 2014!
Hello family and friends! I hope you all had a great thanksgiving (if you celebrate this Holiday) and stuffed your belly with yummy food! We hosted this year (2nd in a row now) and I think we will be hosting for the coming years too. I really don’t mind because everyone (my husband’s side of the family) shares responsibility in the food department. We enjoyed thanksgiving dinner and watched the Seahawks beat the 49ers (it was a boring game because I think the 49ers forgot how to play football!). Around 11pm when I was already in bed, the Hubs wanted to go check out target because he wanted to get something related to his computer! So off we go to 2 Targets and I’m glad he got what he wanted. We also checked out Walmart for candles (my new obsession lately) and there were a lot of people but nothing like what I normally see on T.V. I don’t think I will do it again. I prefer shopping online because the deals seem to be the same and it is more convenient.

The next day (Friday) it’s a family tradition for all of us to walk around downtown Seattle and window shop. The weather was so nasty that we only stayed for 4 hours. It was still a nice time with my In laws though.

Eques!
Hi Friends! Last Sunday (my birthday) we decided to have brunch after church at Eques (it’s located inside the Hyatt Bellevue). We’ve passed the place many times, we always said that we should try it because the place was known for their breakfast buffet. After checking out their buffet selection, we were not impressed (not that it was bad, just not a wide selection) we decided to just order ala carte and forget the buffet. I had the crab cake eggs benedict (I really enjoyed it) while Zach had the smoked salmon eggs benedict (he said it was great!) We shared their banana split pancakes with hazelnut chocolate ,we really liked it too.Though it was pricey for a what we got, we would still come back. Great service and ambiance too (they had a TV in one area where the Seahawks game was on! Too bad they lost!).

I also would like to thank my Hubs and my family (including my In laws) for all their birthday gifts! To my friends who also took time to text, message, greeted me on my birthday! I appreciate you all! Thanks again to my family for their thoughtful gifts.
