It’s been a cold weekend here in the Puget Sound, but that did not stop us from visiting Seattle and checking out Pike Place Market. One of my favorite places in Seattle! Originally we wanted to go to Chinatown but we had a hard time looking for parking, and so much road construction made it hard to walk around. So off we went to Pike Place market:) We had Piroshkies, Macaroons and coffee! Hope you had a great weekend too:)
Category: Weekend Fun
Still here!!
I know I’ve been slacking on my posts for the last couple of weeks(almost a month), I just don’t have a lot of things to say and find myself not enjoying the posting of my foodie pics and recipes. I kinda miss it though, it’s not that I’m not doing anything fun or eating yummy food because I’m still cooking most of the time. Speaking of fun, I wanted to share one of our “fall bucket list items” that we did couple of weeks ago. Here’s some of our Pumpkin Patch pics:) Enjoy!
Fondue and Soups!!
We had our friends Ethan, Lena and the kids over tonight for dinner. We had some simple soups, clam chowder and tomato soup (from Costco) and at the last minute I asked my Hubby to make cheese fondue (we had gruyere cheese). Nothing like a great relaxing time with friends:)
Weekend Fun!
We had a quiet weekend this week. A movie (we watched Looper), dinner, and shoe shopping for my family back home and lots of cuddle time with our Riley:) Here’s some of our pictures from this weekend (mostly the food we had!!)
Cypress Lounge and Wine Bar@ Westin Bellevue!
Last Friday Night Hubby and I wanted to check out a happy hour place in Bellevue that we’ve never been to. We decided to go to Cypress Lounge inside Westin Hotel in Bellevue. The place was cozy, generous amounts of food (cheap too!), but the service was a little slow during our time, maybe because it was Friday evening and the place was packed. All in all, it was a great place for Happy Hour with my Hubs:)
Barefoot Contessa
This weekend the Barefoot Contessa visited Seattle and I just had to see and hear what she’s going to say. I’ve always been a fan of her cooking and kitchen. She is what I expected in person ( I think I’ve seen all her TV episodes). She is warm, sincere, gracious and funny! I totally enjoyed the event despite being alone and no one to share the excitement with:). I didn’t get any decent pics from the event because it’s hard to get pics alone. Anyways, I’m thinking of getting all her cookbooks (she’s got 8!). I have two of her cookbooks, and my Hubby gave the consent already that I can have all her books:) Thanks Ga! I want me some INA!!!
Labor Day weekend!
Last Monday (Labor Day) we invited our In-Laws for burgers and guacamole and chips. My husband did most of the work, he made 2 kinds of guacamole and grilled the burgers. It was a nice, relaxing time with family:-)
Lake Sammamish Triathlon
I’m so proud of my Hubby! He made it through and did a great job with his first Triathlon event last Saturday (Lake Sammamish Triathlon). It was a long day for us as we had to get up around 5:30am and be there at 6:30am for the registration. He was so tired but it was worth it. He will most likely do it again next year or try another Triathlon event here in Seattle. After the event we went home and took a nap, then had a late lunch at Red Robin:-)
Weekend Fun!
We had a great weekend here in the Puget Sound, with the weather hitting 90 F and the Blue Angels in town. I didn’t cook this weekend, thus we ate out and did take out. I do not want to be in the kitchen cooking when it’s this hot out. We finally saw the Dark Knight movie last Friday night and Hubby liked the ending so much:) Today (Sunday) we also had a picnic at Kirkland Marina Park and got lucky because we saw a little of the Blue Angels performance. Our weekend in pictures:
Issaquah Farmers Market / Weekend Fun
We checked out Issaquah’s farmers market last Saturday morning and had lunch at Panera Bread after:
