Hello Everyone! I hope you’re having a great Wednesday. I’m going to link up with The Pleated Poppy – “What I wore” because personally it’s fun for me and great to get some ideas / inspiration from other women’s fashion style. During our Cruise vacation we decided to just bring carry on bags (one for each of us) because the check in fee was $25 each so for roundtrip it will cost us $100 if we were both going to check luggage (nobody has time for that $100!). We are going to the Caribbean so we thought we’ll mostly bring casual clothes like shorts, bathing suits, light shirts. I packed minimally (I thought!) but we still had clothes that we didn’t wear. Anyways, I didn’t buy anything new for this trip but I did shop for my husband because he needed new rash guard shirts and some shorts.
We took a red eye flight so I wanted to be comfy; leggings and sweater: Target, Talbots top, Brooks running shoesDress:Ross (I think, really old), Tory Burch Reva Flats and clutchMy Hubs! Here’s the part 2 of my Cancun trip with my little sister. We spent a day at the Mayan Ruins (Chichen Itza) on a group tour. Honestly, I didn’t really join the group listening to our tour guide because it was so hot that day and I started having a headache and I just had to stay in the shade of a tree for most of the time. I still have to google and read about the history of the Mayan Ruins/Chichen Itza because all I know is that it’s part of the 7 wonders of the world. The whole place was pretty amazing and I’m so glad we did the tour. It was such a LONG day(13 hours total to do the tour) but worth it in my opinion. It’s not everyday we get the chance to see one of the 7 wonders of the world. Sis and I also checked out downtown Cancun (reminded us of the Philippines), swam at IkKil Cenote park, had dinner at Carlos and Charlie (so pricey!!) and the Mextreme restaurant (because we wanted some authentic mexican food,it didn’t disappoint!), we played tourists at the Coco Bongo Area, and the rest of the time we spent soaking in the sun and enjoying the beach. Their beach was really amazing, the water had a beautiful array of blue shades. We are so grateful that we got to do this, we know that not all are given the chance to experience Cancun. Thank you, Lord! Warning Ahead: Picture Overload! Enjoy:)

I know it’s been a while since my last post! It’s just been a little busy here so my little blog was “sacrificed”. But the major reason is that I just got back from Cancun with my younger sister,Rosell, last Sunday morning so I’m still (sort of) in vacation mode. I really had no plans to join her on her Mexico vacation but when she asked if I wanted to join her (she already paid for the hotel) and I mentioned it to Zach, he happily said YES! I was expecting a different answer especially since we plan to go somewhere next month, but he thought it was a great opportunity to spend some time with my sister and a free trip to Cancun (why not!),although it’s not totally free because my plane tickets were not cheap:(… But anyways, this is my first time to visit Cancun (I’ve been to Cozumel and Playa del Carmen) I really liked it, they make it easy for the tourists. I observed that they really clean their roads, maintain the tropical ambiance (Hotel Zone). You can tell that Tourism is their main livelihood. I can totally see myself visiting Cancun again, but I’ll have to bring my husband this time. Thanks to my sis for the Cancun treat!
We have to be in the airport 4am (flight is 6am).No Seattle to Cancun direct flight,so I have to stop at Dallas!hotel room selfie with sisThanks dick for the treat!#masarapanglibrefrontal view of the hotelIt was gloomy on the first day! I will make a part 2 of our trip because (still so many pictures to share) and we visited the Mayan Ruins, swam in Ik Kil (Cenote), dinner at the Coco Bongo area! I took so many pictures and wish I can upload everything here! Hope you enjoyed the part 1 of our vacation pictures!
We had a weekend trip to Oregon when my sister was here couple of weeks ago, we visited Portland and Cannon Beach, and the Seaside Area. It was more of a food trip because we just stuffed our faces with all of the yummy food that Oregon has to offer. Based on my research a must stop is the famous Voodoo doughnuts (I was totally disappointed) and find nothing special about the place. The doughnuts are fun to look at (reminded me of Gordughs doughnuts from Austin Texas) but Gordughs is so much better, moist and (IMO) worth the sugar coma you’ll get. Another place we visited was the Thai restaurant POKPOK! I had read good reviews and even Giada De Laurentiis recommend the place for good authentic thai food. I totally loved their fish sauce chicken wings, it was just the right amount of fish sauce flavor! Not overpowering at all. I think I will go back to Portland just for their wings! I think my hubs and sis find it “OKAY”,I disagree with them!
Cannon Beach was fun but the water was too cold for me. We checked out the famous Haystack Rock and it was gorgeous as I expected. We had fun strolling in the fine sandy beach, enjoyed our left over Voodoo donuts, iced coffee and just people watching.
Last place to check out was Seaside. It was super crowded though because they had a volleyball tournament when we visited. We only stayed for a couple hours, it was just too loud, crowded, and hot for me. I was really ready to go home and see my Riley Puss after not seeing him for 2 days! It was a fun weekend with my sis and Hubs.

It’s been a whole month since my last post here, but I had a pretty good reason why! Hubs and I went to Texas for 8 days (visited 4 cities!) . After our vacation we both got sick and just had to rest and recover from our Texas adventures! I will be posting more of that in the coming days. Here are some pics of our adventures:
Saturday was my birthday and hubby wanted to know what I wanted to do. A weekend getaway with him would be nice especially with the holidays ahead of us (we are hosting Thanksgiving this year,so it will be a little chaotic around here). I wanted to visit the Oregon coast but with the weather we have here in the Pacific NW, I don’t think we’ll like it this time of year. So we decided on San Diego because of the nice sunny fall they have there. We loved it there, I can’t believe the weather we had last weekend close to 80’s. So opposite from Seattle. Anyways, we did the tourist things like Seaworld, SD zoo, SD safari, Coronado Island, Mission Beach, Old Town. It was a great 4 days with my Hubs, exploring a new city and enjoying the warm weather and eating yummy food. My kind of Birthday Celebration. Thank you Lord for another year you gave me.

I finally have the time to blog after the crazy and fun filled summer we’ve had here. I had my sisters visiting us from New Zealand and Hawaii (different times though), with their visits we also travelled but I’m not complaining because I like to travel. We went to NYC, Vegas, and Canada. I’m so glad my sisters were able to see Seattle with some beautiful weather, it was sunny and blue skies. I will be sharing more of our family vacations in the coming weeks. I miss my family so much, so it was great to be spending some quality time with them. I thank God for the opportunity that our families were able to travel and get to hang out with us.

Hello everyone! I’m still alive here! I haven’t posted since forever. I do have a reason why I didn’t post anything here since last year. December of last year my Dad passed away and I went back to the Philippines to be with my family. I miss my Dad, but I know that he’s with the Lord now and no more cancer for him! Life will not be the same anymore but knowing that God is in control of everything helps me heal and enjoy my life since my Dad’s passing. I will try to post more often here and get back to blogging and posting recipes, foodie pics and things I’ve been doing lately. Miss you all family and friends!
I miss you everyday Pa,but you are with our Savior now:)visiting Dad in the cemeterywith my Family, missing my younger sis Rosell (she wasn’t able to extend her stay)New Years Eve Dinner (welcoming 2013)I miss my Riley Boo (back from my long trip!)
